We are recruiting for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis for a specialised manufacturer of construction products, based in South Herefordshire. Our client has a new facility and is looking to build a new team.
What you can expect:
•Competitive Salary (DOE) + Pension
•8am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
•23 days per annum plus Bank holidays
What you will be doing:
•Work with and support the HSE Manager
•Assist with implementing and supporting the HSE management system
•Following guidance, conducting on-site Risk Assessments and on-going review of current risk assessments
•Implement health and safety policies & procedures as directed by HSE Manager and Factory Manager
•In conjunction with the HSE Manager, deliver, conduct and/or co-ordinate appropriate health and safety training programmes
•Maintain a comprehensive training record on each employee
•Support the HSE Manager in maintaining databases re: Chemicals; PPE; Legal Register
•Liaise with operations on a daily basis to ensure site compliance
•Site assessments, internal auditing keeping daily/weekly records
What we are looking for:
•You will have had experience in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing environment
•Previous experience working with a wider HSE team
•Excellent IT skills
•Ability to demonstrate competency in across HSE matters
•The ideal candidate will hold an IOSH Managing Safely certification
