We are recruiting on behalf of our industry leading client rurally located between Kidderminster and Tenbury Wells, who require a Maintenance Engineer to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to provide engineering support within the team and remain responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of manufacturing equipment and machinery.

• Salary: circa £38,958 - £40,996 per annum (inc. shift allowance)
• Working hours: Monday – Thursday (3:30pm – 12:00am), and Friday (2pm – 8:30pm)

What you will be doing:

• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
• Ensure that all equipment installations meet safety and operational standards
• Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and spare part usage
• Provide technical support to the production team
• Train production staff on proper use and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Tool setting for all equipment (assets) onsite.

The ideal candidate will be able to work proactively within a team and adapt well to changing environments. You will have previous experience within as an effective multi-skilled maintenance engineer. You will be able to work under your own initiative in pressured situations to ensure the work is completed to the highest possible standard.

What we are looking for:

• Apprentice trained (mechanical or electrical)
• Certified basic electrical
• Mechanical knowledge e.g. hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors etc.
• Completing/communicating shift reports
• Reading technical drawings and schematics
• 18^th Editions electrical (desirable)
• Fabrication experience e.g. welding (desirable)
