We are seeking an experienced Service and Installation Engineer to join our Hereford based client on a full time & permanent basis. The main purpose of this position is to install and provide both remote and onsite support to customers within the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have prior service engineering experience, preferably within the packaging industry, in addition to engineering/ mechanical industry knowledge.

What you can expect:

• Salary: approx. £40k - £45k per annum, depending on experience
• Working hours: 7:45am – 4:45pm Monday – Thursday & 7:45am – 1:45pm Friday
• Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

What you will be doing: 

• Ongoing customer service (after commissioning) including organising own diary to carry out planned service visits and attending customer breakdowns
• Attending installations of machinery
• Commissioning machines
• Achieve required outcome for the customer via calls, video calls, and on-site visits
• Mentoring trainee service engineers
• Full reporting after customer visits (breakdown, installation)
• Delivering training and liaising with customer’s engineers & operatives after installation
• Liaising and ordering from engineering suppliers
• Exhibition duties as and when necessary
• Supporting the Company’s ISO 9001 Quality System

What we are looking for:

• BTEC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Prior service engineer experience
• Engineering experience within the packaging industry
• Able to mentor and train engineers
• Ability to travel overseas and visit customer sites
• Valid driving licence
