Description

Our client is seeking a Production Administrator to join them on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave. The expected duration of this contract is April ’20 to June ’21. The purpose of this role is to support all production functions with expert administrative detail. The successful candidate will be required to manage and control the daily production plan/schedule to enable customer service and supply targets to be adhered to.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Supporting Managers/Directors to implement the company’s policies, goals and ethics
  • Raising purchase orders for stock and monitor/check supplier acknowledgements/check costs
  • Chase outstanding deliveries
  • Reporting goods-in anomalies to suppliers and seek resolution/escalate
  • Supporting the inputting of stock control/stock counts
  • Follow company’s quality control procedure
  • Maintaining product user manuals and data sheets
  • Organising resources required to meet production schedules
  • Maintaining quality standards and reportage of non-conformities
  • Monitoring production processes
  • Liaise daily with production team
  • Liaising with operations manager and sales team on despatch dates & lead-times
  • Maintain good housekeeping and stock organisation
  • Use of inhouse computer system to build stock for despatch
  • Use of inhouse computer system to despatch stock and print documentation
  • Ensuring the company Health & Safety policy is implemented and followed
  • Demonstrate due diligence across all areas of the business
  • Ensuring that the production purchasing is cost efficient and monitored regularly
  • Working to timescales set for each project to ensure timely completion
  • Supervising and motivating apprentices and new workers
  • Positively promote brand and image
  • Assist in the assembly and production products when required
  • Liaise with subcontractors and visitors
  • Answering the telephone for external calls
  • Monitor emails daily
  • Any other duties as identified to meet strategic objectives

Person specification:

  • Previous administration experience is essential
  • Previous experience in maintaining stock levels, placing supplier orders, processing sales orders for production, and receiving goods in deliveries, would be advantageous
  • Able to work well within a team and liaise effectively with different departments
  • Excellent communication skills are required for internal and external communications with suppliers and customers
  • Attention to detail is paramount

Pay rate: £12 per hour

Working hours: 40 hours per week, core hours are 8.30 – 5.00 (30min unpaid lunch). A flexi-time option is available to allow a 2:30 finish on Friday by working additional hours during the week.

Location: Rural, own transport would be essential. Commutable from Leominster, Hereford, Bromyard, Ledbury, Malvern, Worcester and surrounding areas
