Description

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Medical Administrator to join them on permanent basis at their south Shropshire site. The main purpose of this role is to monitor, support and promote the delivery of quality fit-for-purpose reports on first submission, engage with experts and respond to internal clinical queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Proof reading of medical reports and working with the panel of experts to ensure a Fit for Purpose report is provided to the Customer
  • Liaise with experts verbally and in writing to ensure standards are maintained
  • Identification of poor performance experts and establish an appropriate escalation process to the Clinical Lead
  • To assist the Medical Services Director in screening medical records for identification of clinical negligence
  • To participate in the audit of experts when required
  • Identify training and development needs and opportunities for experts
  • Identify expert performance failings and contribute to solving such issues
  • Assist with clinical queries internally
  • Be aware of the needs of the customer and communicate regularly with customer-facing teams, responding positively to customer requests
  • Monitor and report on expert compliance; monitor standards of the experts, identifying and raising any concerns to prevent complaints
  • Management of Screening Experts/Reports
  • Screening of Medical Records for evidence of clinical negligence

Person specification:

  • Qualified Clinician (Nurse, Therapist, etc.)
  • Demonstrate a strong level of technical knowledge in relation to medical specialisms
  • Proven administration skills in an office environment
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with internal customers
  • Able to use standard Microsoft packages
  • Experienced in handling frequent in-bound and out-bound calls
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates ownership and the ability to plan time effectively to deliver results
  • Thinks from the customers’ point of view
  • Has a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Has a flexible approach and can adapt positively to change

This role can be available for 22.5 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week depending on candidate requirements.

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000 pro rata
